I pinched a nerve in my back during basketball and I have been icing it for the past two weeks and I’m not sure it’s healing. Is there another way to heal a pinched nerve?
When I was pregnant (4 months on) I had an upper back pain. It always started right below my shoulder blades, on either side, and it felt like a radiating pain. It happened after 20 minutes of standing up, so groceries or any kind of outing was horrible for me. Sometimes I got the pain depending on what kind of chair I was sitting on. Has anyone experienced this? Was it pinched nerve? What did you do that helped it?
I’m not planning on trying to getting pregnant again until later this year, but I just want to know what I can do to help in case it happens again.
I was seeing a chiropractor at first, but then we moved so I stopped. And I was a little scared of getting adjusted once I got big. I guess I’ll just have to make sure I go to my chiropractor regularly all through out my next pregnancy. Thanks.
My elbows hurt something fierce when I bend them. Feels like there’s a clamp on them. Does this sound like a pinched nerve? What do you to treat a pinched nerve?
I am 23, and it hurts like hell. It is a very sharp pain.
I have a pinched nerve and was wondering what the various solutions/cures are.
I visited a chiropractor after being told that he might be able to help me with the pain caused by scoliosis/kyphosis/degenerative disc disease. I am in excruciating pain now. The result of the MRI is that my nerve is pinched where the curvature is. How effective are the epidural cortisone injections for a pinched nerve. Please someone help.
I think I have a pinched nerve in my left underarm. It is hard to raise my left arm and when I do it feels like it’s pulling. I can’t raise my arm all the way. The pain has spread from my underarm on down to the inside of my elbow and is swollen. How long will this pain last?
Been having back pain in right L-4 region (between shoulder blade and spine) foe WELL over year. There is a lump there and as the day progresses, it gets more painful and swollen. Lots of muscle spasms too. Had MRI that showed a lartov cyst (dr said "normal abnormality?????) and that MRI showed some arthritis – not severe – and that it was "normal beyond that. He gave a consult with pain mgr and physical therapy (already had with those lil electrodes w/ no results) and feel like he is brushing it off not believing me. Asked if MRI showed pinched nerves and he said yes. Does it- or is he passing the buck? I am 35 with history of C-2 fracture (broken neck) @ 16. Anyone know anything?

Also – I am right handed and it falls asleep often during rest and tingles in the fingertips- especially in the mornings. Have lost strenght – can not open jars- like I used to. And my right side of my scalp falls asleep when I lay on it.
I think I may have regularly pinched nerves in my feet. I have had this since I was probably in 1st grade or so, though it was very rare. Now in the last 7 or so years, it’s been happening much more often, though it’s not an everyday thing. I get sharp pains (I wouldn’t call it "pins and needles" and it only may get "tingly" after the pain and such starts to go away), and my toes lock up. Which is where the pain mostly is, it also reaches up my foot, but never has it passed my heel. I say "sharp", but that doesn’t quite fit. I’m not quite sure what word nor series of words, other than "pinched nerves", that accurately fits. (Sadly my vocab is much more limited than I’d like.)
And when I say my toes "lock up" I mean it. It’s Not like when your arm or something falls asleep and you can take your other arm and move it with ease. My toes can’t be moved without force (though how much exactly, I don’t know, I always thought it wise not to try). It feels more like trying to bend the middle of a bone, then a joint. Sometimes rubbing it helps slightly, and sometimes walking may help, though (walking) only in the rare happenstance. So my question really is "What is causing this?" I’m guessing pinched nerves, (…It honestly feels like it the nerves themselves that hurt, if that makes any sense), but obviously I’m not able to be sure. Also what are somethings I can do to help prevent it?
And yes it does hurt very very much!
I woke up this morning and had a stinging or sharp type pain in my thigh.. So much that it practically kills me even trying to walk or bend over to get something. I can’t resist to scream when this happens because it hurts so bad..
My mom said it might be a pinched nerve, but I dont know because I have never heard of it.
Could it be pinched nerves that is causing this horrible stinging/sharp type pain in my thigh ? It is in my right thigh..Even sitting in a chair is painful.. Its happeneda few times before though, but thought I just pulled something but now it continues to come back..
